In August 2012, Durex Industries and Oasis Materials (Poway, CA) established a Joint Venture (JV) Company. The JV will continue development and marketing of Oasis’ Aluminum Nitride (AIN) based multi-layer ceramic heater technology. Under the agreement, Durex will provide technical, sales, and marketing support. Oasis will continue to provide technology leadership and development.
In many applications, AIN heater technology provides superior performance when compared to traditional metal heater technologies. This allows equipment and instrumentation designers to improve the performance of their products. Key AIN attributes include high watt density for rapid temperature ramp rates, high electrical insulation resistance, high temperature rating, and AIN is inert to most common chemicals.
