Almost 5,000 exhibitors from about 70 countries will present solutions for outpatient and clinical care at MEDICA 2017, the world's leading medical trade fair, held from November 13 – 16, 2017 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. MEDICA’s concept is unique since it not only deals with solutions for individual specialist medical fields but features the complete workflow of patient treatment at the same time and place. The individual segments will be clearly structured according to halls: electromedicine / medical technology (approx. 2,500 exhibitors), laboratory technology / diagnostics, physiotherapy / orthopedic technology, commodities / consumables, information / communication technology as well as medical furniture and specialist furnishings for hospitals and practices.
Medical technology trends will not only be represented by exhibitors at MEDICA, 2017 but will also be addressed in the ancillary program events such as the MEDICA MEDICINE & SPORTS Conference, the European Hospital Conference, the MEDICA Physio Conference, the International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine, the MEDICA App Competition, the MEDICA Connected Health Forum, the MEDICA Health IT Forum, the MEDICA Econ Forum, the MEDICA Tech Forum and the MEDICA Wound Care Forum. New this year will be the MEDICA ACADEMY and the MEDICA Labmed Forum.
With about 800 exhibitors, the concurrently held COMPAMED 2017, High tech solutions for medical technology, will be a hotspot for complex high-tech solutions such as innovative materials, microtechnology and nanotechnology.
In the past couple of years, MEDICA and COMPAMED have regularly attracted between 120,000 and 130,000 visitors annually, with 60% of the attendees coming from outside Germany.
This globally unique combination of MEDICA and COMPAMED will reflect the entire process chain and present a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and instruments in all 17 halls of the Düsseldorf's exhibition center.
