CCL Healthcare has partnered with Controlant do develop an end-to-end IOT supply chain solution with real-time visibility for the pharmaceutical industry. 

The Saga Card represents an IoT innovation aimed at enhancing supply chain transparency. It integrates a printed battery, cellular modem, and sensors to actively track medications throughout the supply chain. Real-time data provided by the cellular modem and sensors ensures compliance with FCC regulations. Additionally, the device automatically deactivates once the medication reaches its designated point of use.

The Saga card, assembled and finished by CCL through cutting-edge continuous manufacturing, enables global scalability. Incorporating advanced zinc-based (non-lithium) battery technology from CCL's subsidiary, Imprint Energy, the IOT device boasts an ultrathin (.6mm) profile while supporting LTE CAT M connectivity. Imprint Energy Batteries, renowned for their eco-friendliness and disposability, represent a pinnacle in sustainable energy solutions. Imprint Energery’s battery technology stands out as one of the most advanced and flexible options in the market, perfectly suited for a range of applications including smart labels, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, and various other IOT devices.
