If you’ve ever witnessed a UFC fight, you know how brutal they can be. Fighters are only required to wear shorts, open-fingered gloves, and a mouthguard, which leaves their heads (and brains!) vulnerable. According to a recent ESPN article, UFC’s senior vice president of health and performance Jeff Novitzky has been in contact with Johns Hopkins University to discuss the possibility of using psychedelic drugs to help with traumatic brain injury, addiction, and mental health problems.
