FDA recalls generic Xanax
The New York Times
A recent article from The New York Times noted the recall of alpraxolam, a generic form of the anxiety and panic disorder drug Xanax. Mylan Pharmaceuticals, the drug’s manufacturer, kept the reason for the voluntary recall vague noting the presence of a “foreign substance.” Although the company has yet to receive reports of adverse effects, it did note that the remote risk of infection couldn’t be ruled out.
