“We are honored to join the HP Graphics Solutions Partner Program,” says Karl Swanson, President of PCT. “Our Core 100 ebeam system has been specifically designed to complement the HP Indigo 20000 digital press.

The collaboration with HP expands our connections with customers seeking a sustainable finishing solution and has already proven to be successful with several HP Indigo users around the world. With the increasing demand for reducing material usage, the need for mono-layer, surface printed Flexible Packaging applications is growing. Our collaboration will allow for simpler recycling processes and help companies facilitate their sustainability goals,” added Swanson.

“The HP Indigo flexible packaging ecosystem offers a breadth of solutions enabling our press owners to produce innovative applications that deliver value to their customers. The ebeam solution will help meet growing demand for on-demand, digitally printed flexible packaging " said Alon Bar-Shany, general manager, HP Indigo.

Maui Chai, president of Kala Packaging, a packaging solutions provider headquartered in Utah, and owner of two HP Indigo 20000 digital presses said, “Flexible Packaging is our fastest growing segment. The HP Indigo press in combination with ebeam finishing allows us to offer a food-safe option to our customers with a zero cure time for the fastest time to market, making it the ideal solution for sustainable flexible packaging applications.”

The Core 100 provides ebeam curing of overprint varnishes (OPV’s) for flexible packaging production without lamination and is ideal for demanding applications including hot-fill, pasteurization, form fill and seal and lidding. It is designed to accommodate most any flexible packaging construction with specific benefits for pouches and wrappers. Gloss, matte, and soft touch OPV finishes are available to design striking effects for stand-out packaging possibilities. The process provides fast, solvent-free, instantly cured, digitally printed packaging.

At Label Expo in Brussels, Belgium, Sept. 24-27, HP Indigo will present its portfolio of flexible packaging solutions, certifications and samples including those produced using PCT ebeam technology in conjunction with HP Indigo printing.
