ISTA’s “Industry Meets Research” Event in Germany

Tour an IKEA distribution center at this educational and networking event on May 15 in Dortmund, Germany. The schedule also includes presentations on packaging, testing and more. Register by May 11.

ISTA’s European Division Board has announced an educational and networking event, “Industry Meets Research,” to be held May 15 in Dortmund, Germany. 

The event will be hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics and will include multiple packaging and logistics presentations and special tours of the Fraunhofer Institute Facility and the IKEA Distribution Center located in Dortmund-Ellinghausen.

Presentations cover a variety of topics:

  • Challenges and solution strategies for global packaging development

  • Package testing

  • Outlook on research and future ISTA 

The tour of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics is intended to help companies of all industries and sizes answer questions about material flow and logistics to optimize the internal and external logistics.
