On April 19, the show will be held in sequence with Cosmofarma, Europe's leading exhibition of health care, beauty, and personal care products.
Next year's version of Pharmintech introduces a newly created company: Pharmintech Srl, stemming from the partnership between BolognaFiere and Ipack-Ima, with the support of Unindustria Bologna.
At a June 18 press conference at Achema 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany, Pharmintech announced that Pharmintech 2013 would be supported by the U.S.-based Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute and by China-based National Packaging Pharmaceutical Assn.
The 2010 event drew 350 exhibitors and approximately 4,000 visitors. One of Pharmintech's key goals for the 2013 show will be to attract more pharmaceutical packaging materials suppliers to attend.
Pharmintech is part of the business community that includes pharmaceutical supply chain and manufacturers/producers. A press release indicated that research carried out by the Observatory group noted a "positive future for the first half of 2012. Such an optimistic outlook is...encouraged by the results of the first semester 2012, which should continue down the road of recovery for both exports and turnover following the previous two years of economic crisis. Employment rates are also on the rise; over three quarters of the sample report stable figures, while those who have hired new personnel outnumber those who have reduced it. Overall, these figures lead to the belief that, slowly but steadily, the recovery is going to gradually pick up over the course of 2012."
