Mocon's MultiCheck™ 400 combination testing system for packages with 1-way degassing valves measures oxygen headspace, leak detection, and seal strength via the company's new Valve Test Unit™ (VTU).
The VTU is capable of measuring to tenths of a lb./sq. in. Four different tests are combined into 1 unit: a single package cycles through all of the analysis on 1 unit. First the O2 headspace, followed by the pressure decay leak test, then a seal-strength burst test and finally the valve test which tests both the leak and the seal strength of the valve. Applications include coffee, pet food, agricultural chemicals, resins, medical and others which require pressure relief.
