CCL Healthcare is proud to announce the expansion of its facility in Montreal, Canada. This expansion serves as a significant milestone in our 40-year history of operation in the city, with the most recent 20 years under the ownership of CCL Industries. Pierre Dery, the owner prior to CCL, expressed his enthusiasm for this development, underscoring the businesses legacy.

This expansion hinges on the acquisition of an adjacent building, adding 44,000 sq ft of production space to the current footprint of 80,000 sqft, transforming the site into a CCL Montreal Campus. Antoine Krahenbuhl, General Manager of CCL Montreal, emphasized that this expansion future-proofs CCL Montreal with their goal of supplying critical packaging components, such as labels, patient instruction leaflets, and folding cartons, to the pharmaceutical, medical device, and life science industries, whilst providing skilled and secure local employment opportunities.

In parallel with this expansion, CCL Montreal is embarking on a journey of digitalization. By leveraging state-of-the-art equipment and workflows, the aim is to elevate our customer’s experience. John O’Brien, VP for CCL Healthcare Canada, highlighted CCL Montreal's pivotal role in driving digital print and front-end process digitization, which positions CCL Montreal to lead the industry in technology, service, and quality.

Antoine Krahenbuhl outlined his three key goals in guiding this expansion:

  • To deliver top-tier service to our customers, while maintaining product quality and speed to market.
  • To prioritize employee well-being.
  • To support growth and sustainability targets while upholding supply standards for customer.

John O’Brien emphasized the strategic advantage of acquiring an existing building, expediting the timeline for full operational readiness, with an aggressive operational target set for Q4, 2024.

This expansion to our Montreal facility reflects CCL Healthcare's unwavering commitment to innovation, continuity of supply, service excellence and sustainable growth, which positions us as the leader in the packaging industry, as your global partner that prints locally.
