Smurfit-Stone Container (Chicago, IL) and Isotag Technology (Houston, TX) have created the MasterGuard™ system, a line of anticounterfeit and traceable packaging.

The system involves 2 products, AuthentiPak and TrackPak. AuthentiPak uses a chemical tag and a molecular identification code. With TrackPak, an invisible ink is applied to the package with a destination code to be verified with a laser-based viewing device.
