GlaxoSmithKline to provide co-packing tips at CP 08

If you're looking for answers to the challenges using external resources when packaging your healthcare brand, the CP 08: Succeeding with Contract Packaging conference is the place to be. The conference is Sept. 16-17 at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg. John Gagliardi, principal packaging engineer, third-party contract manufacturing at GlaxoSmithKline, will join Daryl Madeira, director of marketing at Alcan Pharmaceutical Packaging, in a presentation targeted to healthcare packaging professionals. Their topic will be "Balancing Design with Production: Lessons in Pharmaceuticals."

The Sept. 17 session will focus on maximizing contract packaging's impact in the quest for innovative brands on shelf. Using real-world examples, Gagliardi and Madeira will discuss the challenges of introducing innovation into package design. These obstacles often put the goals of pharmaceutical packaging and production at odds.

CP 08 will include many other presentations focusing on innovation and external packaging resources. Attendees will hear ideas and methods that have proven successful across product categories.

CP 08 is produced by Contract Packaging and Packaging World magazines, sister publications of Healthcare Packaging magazine. The conference is produced with the support of the Contract Packaging Assn. .
