New Blood Test Finds Superbugs Faster

Quicker results mean less time wasted on antibiotics that are futile against aggressive bacteria.

A recent Science Alert article discussed a new test that diagnoses antibiotic-resistant superbugs in the blood. Currently, the fastest diagnosis time is roughly 24 hours, but the new test completes blood sampling and analysis in just one hour. Quicker results mean better treatment and limiting the spread of superbugs to improve patient outlooks.
