Material Concepts Inc., an authorized DuPont™ Tyvek® Master Distributor, now offers DuPont Tyvek air cargo covers. These air cargo covers made with Tyvek are used to cover pallets of pharmaceuticals, perishables, and other temperature-sensitive products during air transit.

The covers are specifically engineered to address the threat of cold chain breaks during air transit when pharmaceuticals, perishables, and other temperature-sensitive products are at the greatest risk for temperature excursions. The high reflectivity of Tyvek provides temperature protection from solar radiation, the leading cause of upward temperature excursions, and extreme ambient temperatures (hot or cold). The breathability of Tyvek can prevent condensation damage, while the physical barrier protects products from rain, snow, and dirt during outdoor exposure.

DuPont Tyvek air cargo covers are available in one piece (top cover only) or two pieces (top cover and bottom cover). Standard stock covers are available.

For air shipment of pharmaceutical products, these covers can provide hours of protection from extended cold chain breaks, and they are suitable for Control Room Temperature (CRT) products. They have been validated by pharmaceutical manufacturers for use in European Union (EU) Good Distribution Practice (GDP) applications.
