Nova Chemicals: Foamable Resins

NOVA Chemicals has announced the commercial introduction of foamable Dylark® FG resins, a family of styrene maleic anhydride (SMA) copolymer resins for microwaveable packaging.

Designed for take-out food containers and HMR packaging, resins provide structural integrity at high temperatures for safe microwave reheating and feature superior insulation to maintain hot food temperatures in transit. Family of resins can be processed on existing extrusion foam equipment and are said to feature lower part costs compared to PP.
