Maruho Hatsujyo Innovations (MHI) – the U.S. subsidiary of Maruho Co. Ltd, a Japanese healthcare company with subsidiaries in Europe and the U.S. with global sales of $800 million – has hired industry veteran Michael McCracken as its National Accounts Manager. In this role, he will oversee and execute sales activities for the company’s complete range of user-friendly, cost-effective blister machines.

Mr. McCracken brings extensive packaging sector experience to his new position with MHI. Most recently, he served six years as National Accounts Manager for Storopack, which specializes in protective packaging. Prior to that, he was a sales executive with Shorr Packaging and, before that, a Regional Accounts Manager for FP International.

MHI focuses on versatile, sensibly priced blister machines. For example, its compact EAGLE-Omni offers a format area of 150x95mm and a forming depth of 30mm (upgrade to 40mm available), making it capable of everything from manual prototyping to fully automated operation. Additional machines in the EAGLE blister machine series include:

  • EAGLE-Uni, ideal for lab work, packaging development and material testing
  • EAGLE-Pro, an ideal first production level system
  • EAGLE-Rx, capable of producing up to 200 blisters/min at a format area of 90x130mm
  • EAGLE-Max, a high speed, high-volume machine capable of producing up to 600 blisters per minute

“Mike’s extensive packaging sector knowledge, as well as his history of successful sales accomplishments, make him a valuable asset as MHI continues to expand its market share in North America,” said Tim Saarinen, Chief Operating Officer for MHI. “His efforts and experience will help mightily as we continue to introduce innovative new blister machines.”

Mr. McCracken earned a degree in International Business from the University of Alabama, Huntsville. A father of two, he resides in Gallatin, TN.
