The ASTM International committee on manufacture of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products (E55) and LyoHUB are sponsoring the Workshop on Pharmaceutical Lyophilization, Oct. 23, 2018, at the Indiana Manufacturing Institute at Perdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of the committee.
The goal of the workshop is to initiate and engage in discussions on pharmaceutical lyophilization which can be developed and advanced as a consensus standard.
The workshop will include:
· A presentation on the future of biopharmaceutical manufacturing,
· Lyophilization in review,
· An overview of LyoHUB and the Lyophilization Technology Roadmap,
· A review of applications for lyophilized products,
· A technical foundation of Lyo 101, and
· A presentation and panel on the best practices papers currently being worked on by LyoHUB.
University researchers, representatives from applicable consortiums, and industry representatives will offer participants an understanding of available resources and collaborative opportunities.
