Werum IT Solutions has appointed Shawn Opatka as Vice President Sales & Marketing of its American operation, Werum IT Solutions America. In this role, Mr. Opatka will direct Werum America’s team of sales and marketing managers, working to ensure that Werum’s best-in-class MES solutions deliver unrivaled customer satisfaction. He succeeds Jan-Henrik Dieckert, who is moving to Werum’s global headquarters in Luneburg, Germany, where he will assume the new role of Senior Head of Sales EMEA.
Mr. Opatka is an accomplished, results-driven sales professional with more than 15 years of sales experience in the IT sector of the life science and process industries. He has deep experience in sales and sales management, territory management, sales engineering, marketing, product development and sales support. In addition, he is an exceptional communicator with demonstrated success in building relationships at every level.
Before joining Werum, Mr. Opatka worked for more than eight years in various management positions at Emerson Process Management in the USA – most recently as Global Sales Director MES. In this role, he was responsible for global sales and marketing of Emerson Process Management’s life science solutions, including the Syncade product platform.
