The Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) will host its first-ever International Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference (IPDC) in China on October 22–23, 2014, at the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing.

“Bringing our educational offerings to the international arena is a natural next step in HDMA’s evolution as an organization, and recognizes the global expansion and integration of the pharmaceutical supply chain on the part of manufacturers and distributors,” said HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray. “Asia and China, in particular, is on the leading edge of this international expansion, and we are excited to work closely with our Chinese counterparts, the China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce, to convene this unique event.”

Modeled after the Association’s Distribution Management Conference held each year in March, the IPDC will bring together distributors and manufacturers from around the globe to learn about technologies and business practices designed to preserve patient safety, enhance security and achieve efficiencies in the international marketplace. Conference topics will include anti-counterfeiting and supply chain safety initiatives; serialization and traceability developments; cold chain management; healthcare supply chain trends; leveraging supply chain data; in-transit and facility security; and, implementing global technical standards.

Those interested in attending may register at a discounted price of $1,385 before Sunday, September 21, 2014 (the fee will increase to $1,585 on September 22). For more information, visit the HDMA website at www.HealthcareDistribution.org.
