As a result of this partnership, the two organizations will stage joint initiatives aimed at increasing companies' internationalization. To face this challenge, industry representatives and exhibition organizers will combine their efforts to redesign business models around companies' needs - both ANIMA members and IPACK-IMA exhibitors - to the end of creating an increasingly international partnership with the industry.
“Our business generates a total turnover of •‚¬43 billion, over 53% of which coming from foreign markets. For us, broadening the international scope of the mechanical industry is no longer a choice, it has become a matter of survival given the instability of the domestic market compared to our production potential,” - says ANIMA chairman Sandro Bonomi. “The agreement signed today is the first of its kind but not the last. It is a key step in the course traced by ANIMA since a few years ago with the objective to support mechanical manufacturing companies by providing them with sector-specific competences and knowledge through streamlined, tangible, turnkey tools. These include the Easy Customs Project for AEO certification and support on customs issue; Ulysses for ANIMA, a database on import-export flows divided into ATECO codes; the Mecca-Ru project, designed to promote the exchange of expertise between Italy and Siberia, effective as of June; and last but not least the recent partnership with Ipack Ima Spa,” - concludes Mr. Bonomi - “Companies need to know whether entering a new market can prove profitable before planning any investment, including the human resources to carry out the necessary feasibility studies and analyses. Such preliminary steps are crucial but occasionally skipped, especially when a company undertakes such a challenging project as expanding on foreign markets.”
“The agreement signed with the ANIMA federation is a positive example of cooperation between trade associations and exhibition organizers,” - says Ipack-Ima Spa CEO Guido Corbella. “It is a smart synergy model enhancing both parties' strengths to the advantage of companies - ANIMA members as well as exhibitors. The agreement signed today is an extension of the promotional activity supporting companies in their internationalization strategies beyond individual trade events. Ipack-Ima spa's policy and strategy is to act as a partner to exhibitors - rather than as a simple event organizer - and assist them with promotional as well as other issues. Hence, - concludes Mr. Corbella - “the agreement signed with ANIMA is the natural outcome of our strategic vision.”
