The transaction has been approved by the antitrust authorities without further restrictions. The entire share and equity interest of Eisai Machinery is transferred to the Bosch Group. Eisai's machinery business is specialized in the manufacture, sales and export of inspection equipment as well as pharmaceutical machinery and packaging materials. In 2010, Eisai Machinery generated sales of around 76 million euros (8.6 bn JPY).
Inspection technology from Eisai Machinery is used for liquid and solid pharmaceuticals, such as ampoules, syringes, vials and tablets. Solutions offered range from basic inspection solutions to fully automated high-performance systems.
