Could this be the end for ObamaCare's medical device tax?

There is a serious push from Democrats to repeal the tax before Memorial Day.

Here we go again. Or, not.

There has been constant talk of repealing the medical device tax that was approved as part of ObamaCare, especially when the Republicans took control of Congress.

But, for the first time in a while, it looks like it the fight to repeal it might have more legs to stand on than during pervious attempts.

According to The Hill, 17 House Democrats led by Rep. Scott Peters (Calif.) sent a letter to House leadership urging them to give priority to a bill that would repeal the tax before Memorial Day.

The letter warns, "that the 2.3 percent tax on medical devices is prompting companies to slash their budgets on research and development, which they say 'puts the discovery of new breakthrough medical technologies at risk,'" wrote The Hill.
