Alcan Packaging is striving to build a culture that embraces sustainability, making it a part of everyday life. Its goal is to create tangible benefits for employees and communities, customers and ultimately consumers by optimising business decisions based on a threepillar model of sustainability, including social, environment and economic perspectives.
"We are very pleased to share these tools with all of our colleagues, to create awareness, facilitate engagement, and encourage positive changes in our workplace, with customers and in our communities," said Michael Rubenstein, Chief growth and innovation officer, Alcan Packaging. "Our Sustainability Moments campaign, launched earlier this year, engaged and mobilised employees, and this toolkit is another way to help our colleagues develop a sustainability mindset."
The toolkit, which was sent to Alcan Packaging employees in each of its 130 facilities
worldwide, is also available online. It explains the company's approach to sustainability
which includes its 4P's - Plants, Products, People and Communities, and Partnerships -
in a broad range of material: information sheets, customer and employee presentations,
key messages and talking points, an electronic sustainability game, newsletters and a
glossary of sustainability terms.
