Bill Gates Funded a New Condom to Fight Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Scientists have developed a new self-lubricating condom that could increase usage and decrease STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

A recent Business Insider article discussed the latest development in contraception. Apparently a team of scientists, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has created a new self-lubricating condom that becomes slippery on contact. Their goal is to make the use of contraceptive methods more pleasurable in hopes that it will cut down on sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies, and it seems to be working. 43% of participants in a study said the new condom will increase their condom usage.
