Romaco North America, a subsidiary of Romaco Group, a global supplier of processing and packaging technologies, will showcase new machines at Interphex, NY, Booth #3327, March 18-20.

A Kilian Synthesis 500 Bi-Layer Tablet Press (shown) is a pharma tableting machine developed for high overall equipment efficiency. The machine is available in five tableting configurations: monolayer, bilayer; core (tab-in-tab); TRF (tamper-resistant formulations); and WET. Capable of manufacturing up to 360,000 tablets/hr, it features GAMP conforming automation, qualification and validation; self-explanatory operating, control and regulating system; patented punch bellows to protect tablets from lubricants; and hermetical separation of compaction and service area, meaning no product migrates to the press’ machine compartment.

A FrymaKoruma Dinex Vacuum Processing Unit is suitable for producing emulsions and suspensions over a wide viscosity range.  Advantages include internal and external homogenizing (short loop); pump over/discharge of the product without additional pump; CIP function via pumping features of the homogenizer (no additional booster pump necessary); and product hygiene and aseptic design at all stages (GMP).

A Unipac 2060 tube filling system offers a high-capacity integrated ergonomic tube loader, with no changeover required and accessibility to each side of the machine. A hot air group with separate movements allows special shape closures in a minimized closing area without limiting tube-filling quantity. Features an easy-to-replace upper head; quick size changeover; lightweight, easy to disassemble dosing pump; servo-driven dosing pump, diving nozzle (upon request); and different sealing technologies depending on tube materials (AL, PE/LAM tubes).
