Anyone who has worked in packaging knows that once something is printed, itβs essentially set in stone. However, a recent article from Compelo article discussed an innovative new design from secondary packaging manufacturer August Faller that features a digital display.
The product is called Medical Prescription, and it aims to improve compliance with its small e-paper display and electronic controls that counts down the tablets, reminds patients when to take their medication, and provides reorder alerts. The high-tech carton also allows doctors and pharmacists to transfer personalized dosage instructions via a smartphone, laptop or PC.
