Healthcare packaging and medtech manufacturer Sanner has rebranded Gilero, which it acquired in 2024, as Sanner, unifying its North American operations under a single global brand. The contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) also expanded its innovation and development facility in Chicago.
According to Sanner CEO Stefan Verheyden, the move creates a single, integrated partner for medical device development, engineering, pharmaceutical packaging expertise, and global manufacturing.
"By connecting development and production across our global network, we reduce project risk, simplify technology transfer, and help customers bring innovative healthcare products to market faster,” he says.
The larger Chicago office includes a human factors lab with integrated audiovisual recording for usability testing, in-house 3D printing, and assembly and electromechanical prototyping capabilities. It also offers direct access to the adjacent mHUB Innovation Center, which provides CT scanning, laser cutting, and selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing.
Together with a new production facility in Greensboro, N.C., the moves reflect Sanner's continued investment in the North American healthcare market.
