If you’re anything like me, your pet’s comfort is of the utmost importance. A recent Phys.org article noted the FDA’s approval of the first monoclonal antibody treatment for feline arthritis. The drug is called Solensia, aka frunevetmab, and it’s a cat-specific monoclonal antibody that binds to a protein associated with pain, blocking the signal from reaching the brain. Solensia is marketed by Zoetis, and is only available via prescriptions from licensed veterinarians.
