Microbial Contamination Leads to Hand Sanitizer Recall

The recall notice, issued by the company, notes that using the hand sanitizer with an open wound could cause bacteria to enter the bloodstream. The recall includes 26 lots of hand sanitizer in six different sizes of dispenser. Customers in possession of products from the affected lots are advised to return them to the store of purchase for a full refund, or “destroy it immediately.”
