A recent Medgadget article discussed an upgraded version of the stethoscope that’s intended to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The device, developed by Thinklabs Medical, is known as the Thinklabs One, and it’s the smallest and most powerful stethoscope in the world. It features a standard headphone jack that can connect to small off-the-shelf Bluetooth transmitters that beam auscultation sounds to the doctor’s headphones. The doctor can then instruct the patient where to position the stethoscope so that they can maintain a safe distance.
