GNC Women’s Dietary Supplement Recalled

On November 16^th, Nutra Manufacturing, Inc. announced a nationwide voluntary recall of one lot of GNC Women’s Ultra Mega Time Release. The product, UPC 048107158910 and lot number 3044FQ2024, may contain milk, a major undeclared food allergen. It could cause a life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed by those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk.

The affected lot began distribution on August 23, 2016 and is packaged in an HDPE plastic bottle with a child resistant closure. Nutra identified the issue themselves at their manufacturing facility in Pittsburgh, and is working closely with GNC to remove the specified product from retail shelves.
