Hi, I'm Edmund Konsen with Schubert North America. Behind me, we have our Lightline case packer. We debuted at Interpack and are showing here for all of its unique reasons. That being said, Lightline is a family of, in this case packers that are configured for whatever the application might be. In this case, we're running cartons into wraparound blanks. However, we could run bottles and bags just as easily.
This machine in particular runs up to 15 cases per minute and up to 60 cartons per minute. It can do orientations of flat or on edge. And some of the reasons why this Lightline is significant other than the tool-less change, is that you can do a myriad of different patterns with the pick-and-place robot behind me.
At the beginning, we are picking and placing the product and rotating it as needed. We make that group, and we feed that group into the case, into the blank rather, in the case. When we transport that blank, we're transporting it on a patent-pending device that allows us to erect from the base and then close over my left shoulder and discharge. If you wanted to change, as I mentioned before, it is tool-less change, and you can reconfigure this machine for other types of packaging.
So like I said, bottles, bags, et cetera, but also if you wanted to run an RSC instead of a flat blank, there's another magazine that we can simply exchange, and your machine could run an entirely different format. Having said all of that, if you'd want to learn more, please go to our website at schubert.group.
