Corporate Express Document & Print Management has introduced what it claims is the first fully-compostable label film material.

Provided as printed labelstock, the film has the capability to begin breaking down as soon as 47 days when it is disposed of in an industrial composting facility. The film is resistant to stains from various liquids including beverages, oils, and grease. With an excellent surface for flexographic printing, the film is available in clear, matte, and white-finish grades as printed label stock. It is also available up to 10 mils thick for tags or sheets.
