Peli BioThermal, a global provider of temperature-controlled packaging, opened a new network station and service center in Dublin, Ireland to service, refurbish, repair and condition Peli BioThermal’s reusable Crēdo on Demand shippers. This new facility puts Peli BioThermal on track to realize its plan to exceed 100 network stations and drop points for its rental program in 2019.

The Dublin facility is focused on Peli BioThermal’s Crēdo on Demand, which provide a high performance, flexible rental option for temperature- controlled containers such as Crēdo Cargo, Crēdo™ Xtreme and Crēdo™ Cube. The Crēdo on Demand rental programme allows organizations to choose the shipper application that best fits their company’s requirements, logistics profile and budget.

The new Dublin network station and service center is strategically located in Harristown, next to Dublin Airport and is ideally located to serve the ever-growing pharma industry in Ireland, which is home to some of the world’s leading biotech and pharma companies, including Lilly, Pfizer, Sanofi, Amgen, Allergan, Alexion, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Pramerica.

New Jeddah network opened

Peli BioThermal also a new drop point in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, demonstrating the company’s continued expansion into the Middle East, a region renowned for its temperature challenges.

With healthcare expenditure in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) projected to reach $104.6 billion by 2022, Peli cites a 2018 GCC Healthcare Industry Report by Alpen Capital, saying the region is a significant key growth area for Peli BioThermal. The Jeddah facility furthers the expansion of Peli BioThermal’s growing Crēdo™ on Demand rental program by providing additional drop points of return for reusable shipping assets providing protection of life sciences and pharmaceutical payloads transported globally.

Asia Award for Excellence

Pelican Bio Thermal also celebrated a major win at the Asia-Pacific Bioprocessing Excellence Awards. Specifically, it was awarded in the Passive Packaging category.

Benson Teo, Pelican BioThermal’s Senior Director of Sales, Asia, said: “We are excited and humbled to receive this award from the industry in recognition of the high performing products and services we provide.”

This latest award follows Pelican BioThermal’s Supply Chain Innovator accolade awarded to its team in the U.S. in 2018. Also, in 2018 its European office, Peli BioThermal, received its second successive Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, the U.K.’s most distinguished business award.
