Mark Crist will serve as president of Color, Additives & Inks, and J. Scott Horn, Jr. will become president of PolyOne Distribution (POD), effective July 3, 2017. Mr. Crist replaces John Van Hulle, who is retiring from PolyOne.

Mr. Crist joined PolyOne in 2008 as a global commercial director for the company's Geon business. He was later promoted to vice president, key account management, where he was responsible for building and growing PolyOne's largest multinational customer relationships. He also served as vice president of Asia, while based in Shanghai. Since 2014 he has served as president of Distribution, driving the business to unprecedented success and growth. Prior to PolyOne, Mr. Crist spent 20 years with Nalco Chemical Company, serving in various sales, marketing and general manager roles focused on specialty markets while based in Europe and North America.

"Mark's broad global experience - and the success he's achieved in each of his roles while at PolyOne - make him the ideal person to lead our Color business to the next level," said
Robert M. Patterson, chairman, president and CEO, PolyOne Corporation. "He's a trusted leader with our employees and an innovative, valued collaborator with our customers and suppliers."

Mr. Horn succeeds Mr. Crist in the leadership role for PolyOne Distribution as a widely respected, 36-year veteran of the chemical distribution industry. Mr. Horn began his career with Fiberchem in 1981 as a sales representative and progressively ascended through various leadership positions, culminating in being named president in 1991, at which time Fiberchem was acquired by M.A. Hanna. With the formation of PolyOne in 2000, Mr. Horn has since continued serving regional and industry sectors in general manager roles for the company's world-class distribution business.

"Few people have the combined credibility, vast experience and strong relationships in polymer distribution as Scott Horn," said Mr. Patterson. "He has been a consistent driving force behind our Distribution business success since PolyOne was created, and I'm extremely pleased and excited he will be leading our future growth and expansion in POD."

Mr. Patterson added, "As John Van Hulle retires from PolyOne, he does so with our complete support, appreciation and admiration for an exemplary career. After 11 years with us, his lasting legacy is that he transformed and grew our Color business into the specialty leader we are today, creating unprecedented value for our customers, shareholders and employees. We wish him all the best, and at the same time, I'm thrilled and eager for Mark and Scott to begin their new roles as we pursue our 2020 Platinum Vision."
