Local manufacturing of FDA-grade Pentapharm® mono PVC, Pentapharm® alfoil® PVdC-coated PVC and Pentaform® medical thermoforming grade APET and PVC began in the first quarter of 2017, resulting in improved service to kp Thailand's pharmaceutical and medical device customers. A new extrusion line was added to the kpT plant in Q4 2016 to support the local manufacture of the Pentamed® APET products. kpT is unique in being able to offer these products from a local manufacturer in a GMP facility that is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.

"Klockner Pentaplast has extensive global experience in pharmaceutical fims and has added this new production line to serve the rising demand for the Asia market," stated Hans-Dieter Laux, Global Director Medical Device Films, Pharmaceutical Packaging. "We invested in the new production line which enables us to fulfill high expectations for standard and high quality films for the Asia market."
