Rondo-Pak, a leading provider of quality folding cartons, printed components to the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer industries, will cap a busy Pack Expo East week in Philadelphia with an open house celebrating its brand new manufacturing facility in nearby Camden, NJ.

From February 27-March 1, Rondo-Pak executives and engineers will staff Pack Expo East Booth #852 to discuss the company’s broad range of products, a portfolio that most recently includes new quick-to-market carton capabilities in partnership with its Körber Medipak Systems network of companies. In addition, on the show’s opening day, February 27, Rondo-Pak will host Healthcare Packaging & Processing Conference on Monday, February 27 at 11am, a workshop exploring the biopharmaceutical industry’s recent impact on packaging.

Following the show’s conclusion, Rondo-Pak will host a full day open house. Transportation will be provided from the Convention Center and Center City Philadelphia hotels to the new facility, located just across the river at 1200 Ferry Avenue, Camden, NJ.

The $30 million investment includes new state-of-the-art printing and finishing equipment, added and enhanced services and capabilities, and increased warehousing capacity for a more streamlined order fulfillment process. Designed to maximize production workflow efficiencies for Rondo-Pak’s comprehensive, start-to-finish production environment, the facility will be home to several new packaging technologies currently under development.

Highlights of the open house include:

  • Representatives from Körber Medipak Systems, Rondo-Pak’s parent company, will be on hand to discuss the benefits of integrating materials, machinery, and software to address comprehensive packaging supply chain needs.
  • Experts from Heidelberg will detail the features and benefits of the new Heidelberg XL 106 LED UV Press.
  • Experts from Bobst will discuss the features and benefits of the new BOBST EXPERTCUT 106 Die-cutter, among the most advanced of its kind on the market.
  • Regular presentations, tours, food & refreshments, and giveaways & prizes throughout the day.
