Titled CMO Serialization Workshop: A Guide to Quick and Cost-Effective Implementation, this special event will be held at the The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge on January 24 and 25, 2016, and aims to provide powerful insights, as well as a hands-on component, to help get CMOs ready for the 2017 serialization deadline. “For CMOs, the challenges related to serialization are complex and unique. Not only must they become compliant with these regulations, but they need to achieve this while complying with the individual requirements of their pharmaceutical clients," stated the Director of Sector Development at Domino, Mr. Mark Shaffer. “In addition, they rarely have the resources and experience for a project of this scope and need to rely on partners who have been there before and who can advise and guide them through the process," continued Mr. Shaffer.

This workshop will leverage collective experience, providing CMO attendees with the practical guidance required to develop a clear strategy toward compliance. The comprehensive two-day event will feature keynote speakers, an expert panel session, and a practical look at serialization planning, as well as printing technologies, IT requirements and warehouse operations. Moreover, with the participation and/or sponsorship of leading companies such as PAR Pharmaceutical, Patheon, Fresenius Medical Care, United Therapeutics, G&W, and more, the roundtable portion is sure to generate interesting discussions. "At Optel Vision, we feel it's very important to bring together strong industry players periodically to share knowledge and experiences to see how things evolve within the industry," mentioned President of Optel Vision, Mr. Etienne Gagnon. "Since we are all working toward meeting strict deadlines, collaborative efforts like this allow everyone involved to learn from each other, which helps optimize and speed up the process," concluded Mr. Gagnon.

The program will include interactive discussions around topics such as serialization IT systems, packaging line implementations, process and change management, master data management, CMO serialization readiness, as well as live packaging line demos, strategic serialization planning and program management toolkit/solutions.
