Through the Mission: Packaging program, Shurtape will follow three students – selected via an application process from packaging programs nationwide – as they pursue degrees in the packaging field. Each month, these students will be challenged with themed missions that are designed to help them build upon their educational foundation. They’ll be required to explore real-world issues, problems, trends and strategies related to packaging and participate in conversations with industry experts – all in an effort to broadentheir horizons beyond the classroom and help them understand the varying aspects of industrial packaging.
As they complete each mission, they’ll report their findings on TapeUniversity.com, Shurtape’s tape education-focused website. And, each student will be rewarded for their participation – and completion of all 10 challenges – by earning $5,000 to put toward their educational expenses and help prepare them for future employment.
“We introduced Mission: Packaging as a unique way to show packaging students just what their future might hold, as well as to harness – and share – the knowledge and experience they’ve gained between the classroom, co-ops, networking events and industry organizations,” said Bradley Dunlap, product manager – packaging for Shurtape. “In the first year of the program, our students set the bar high by approaching every assignment – from learning about overall equipment effectiveness and sustainability in packaging to uncovering packaging trends and pet peeves – with a fresh and
distinct perspective. We expect that – and more – in our second year and know packaging students will be up for the challenge.”
Interested students can get full program rules and apply online at Shurtape.com/MissionPackaging through December 2, 2016. And, check out TapeUniversity.com to see what our 2016 Mission: Packaging students learned.
