The METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection Division announced that it will be building a new state-of-the-art facility to accommodate the growth of its business throughout the Americas. The new facility is expected to be completed in late 2017, and will be located 15 miles north of the Division's current site in Tampa, FL, which houses the company's Safeline Metal Detection and X-ray Inspection businesses. It will also become the home of the Hi-Speed Checkweighing business, which is planned to relocate from Ithaca, New York during the course of 2018.

This investment will bring together the vast experience of METTLER TOLEDO's Hi-Speed and Safeline businesses into a single organization at a fully-integrated and efficient facility, which will be more than twice the size of the cur-rent building. The many common customers of both businesses will see signifi-cant advantages such as more efficient coordination, engineering and installa-tion of new projects. The co-location will also provide a convenient 'one stop shop' for the increasingly important training, validation and service work for the thousands of existing METTLER TOLEDO installations.
