The trade show quartet is organized by Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai in
cooperation with their long-time partner Adsale Exhibition Services and
the China Center for Food & Drug International Exchange (CCFDIE). Messe
Düsseldorf Shanghai is the subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf in Germany,
renowned as the organizer of interpack, the No. 1 international trade
fair for the packaging industry held every three years in Germany.
As a member of the new interpack alliance (includes all international
events organized by Messe Düsseldorf within its processing & packaging
portfolio), swop 2017 will present the entire value chain for processing
and packaging industries: from the production of packaging materials and
packaging (plastic, paper, glass, metal, etc.), packaging printing and
respective processing technology at PacPro Asia 2017, pharmaceutical and
cosmetic processing and packaging at CHINA-PHARM 2017 to food processing
and packaging technology at FoodPex 2017 as well as bulk and outer
packaging and transportation at BulkPex 2017. The premiere staging of
swop in 2015 occupied 5 halls in SNIEC and attracted 751 exhibitors and
22,626 visitors from around the world.
SAVE FOOD Debuts at swop 2017
The SAVE FOOD initiative of the partners Messe Düsseldorf, the Food
and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and United
Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), aiming to reduce global food waste
and loss, was launched at the interpack 2011 trade fair with an
international congress and a special exhibition. Next year, SAVE FOOD
will debut in China during swop 2017 with a special exhibit and forum to
share information with the public, especially the suppliers of solid,
liquid and fresh foods and agricultural products. The problems of food
waste, extending the shelf life of food and preventing spoilage and
damage during transportation will also be addressed. To date, more than
140 companies and trade organizations from the industrial sector are SAVE
FOOD members, including Bosch, Nestlé and DuPont. Additionally there are
several hundred Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and research
institutes registered with FAO under the SAVE FOOD Network.
innovationparc Innovative Packaging, Intelligent Solutions & Packaging
Industry 4.0
The swop 2017 organizers will also introduce ³innovationparc², a
special section dedicated to the future development of innovative
packaging. It will showcase intelligent devices and solutions for the
entire industry chain of innovative packaging and explore possibilities
for the future of packaging innovation, both in ecological and economic
terms.
Updated "Packaging Materials and Products Zone"
The first swop event featured a successful area for "Packaging
Materials and Products" in cooperation with "Packaging Family", a
non-profit organization and community for packaging with more than 400
members. The ³Packaging Materials and Products Zone² at swop 2015 showed
the most innovative packaging materials, creativity and design. The zone
at swop 2017 will be larger and include innovations in green packaging
materials for environmental protection, sustainable development and
packaging design.
New Show ³components for Processing and Packaging²
³components² was introduced as an exhibition parallel to interpack in
2014 and will now be also held concurrently with swop for the first time.
The trade fair targets companies specializing in motors and drive
technology, control and sensor technology, products for machine vision,
handling technology, industrial software and communication as well as
complete automation systems for packaging machines. It is also directed
at manufacturers of machine parts, components, accessories, peripheral
equipment and components for packaging means.
China Dynamic Growth Market for Packaging and Related Processes
