MULTIVAC, Inc. is pleased to announce Jason Pair has moved to the position of Control Systems Specialist. Pair began his career with MULTIVAC in August of 2012 in the role of Field Service Technician, primarily working with customers in the Northeast Region.
Jason has an extensive background in electronics, serving in the Marine Corps as an aviation electronic technician for CH53E helicopters. He received the title of Crew Chief and began working as the electronics troubleshooter while performing air crew duties. Leaving the Marine Corps as a Sgt, E-5 Rank, Jason began working as a train conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. During his time with MULTIVAC, Jason worked with key account customers experiencing troubles with their MULTIVAC machines, as well as tradeshow setup and machine operation during the show.
In his new position, Jason will provide company-wide electronics support for all departments and customers, effectively and efficiently determining electrical equipment problems and providing solutions. Another key task for this position is to determine specific cause for reoccurring issues with electronic equipment and components. Jason will also work directly with Field Service Technicians to train and develop this team on control systems and new technologies.
Kevin Oberly, Control Systems Engineering Manager said, “Jason has a very strong background in engineering and proven track record of efficient and effective machine operation and maintenance. He has shown he is more than capable to assist Field Service Technicians with the more advanced machines that customers are requiring. His strong knowledge of MULTIVAC equipment during his tenure as a Field Service Technician will be critical to the department as we service more customers with programming needs.”
MULTIVAC continues to develop new products and services that meet the changing needs of the packaging industry. In the past two years, regional sales offices have been opened in California and New Jersey to bring sales coverage and service closer to the customer. Another regional office is scheduled to open in North Carolina in the summer of 2016. Additionally, the US headquarters is currently renovating the offices in Kansas City to include a 32,000 square-foot addition. This allows MULTIVAC to further expand upon manufacturing capabilities. The renovation will include a new, state-of-the-art innovation and demonstration area, allowing customers to have hands-on experience with new and emerging MULTIVAC equipment, as well as serving as a training facility for new and returning customers.
