Phillips-Medisize Corporation announced the appointment of Richard Even as General Manager of BioPharma and the medical campus in Menomonie Wisconsin. This is the latest in a series of strategic hires driven by the company’s continued growth in biopharma drug delivery devices, consumable diagnostics, and medical devices.

“Rich is a seasoned senior operations leader, with extensive multi-plant experience with high and low volume drug delivery and consumable diagnostics device industrialization and production experience. Richard has a strong focus on operational improvement and a mindset around the culture of safety, quality and performance consistent with our biopharma and diagnostics customers,” remarked Matt Jennings, Chairman and CEO of Phillips-Medisize.

Mr. Even comes to Phillips-Medisize most recently from Nypro Healthcare, a division of Jabil. Over the period of 32 years, Even acquired a vast background focused on operational excellence across multiple medical and biopharma device markets, facilities and geographies. For the past six years, he has led operations in Asia, overseeing thousands of teammates across five facilities with a focus on markets including drug delivery, diagnostics and medical surgical devices. Prior to his experience in Asia, Even served in a number of pharmaceutical device plants that contract manufactured a range of products. He also has a long track record of continuous improvement through the deployment and implementation of Lean Principles in medical device and contract manufacturing environments.

Mr. Even commented on his new role, “I’m very excited to be joining the Phillips-Medisize team. I look forward to supporting the exciting growth. For years, I have recognized Phillips-Medisize as a leader who invested in their people, innovation and technology creating long-standing customer relationships with stable and long term oriented owners. Now that I am part of the Phillips-Medisize team, I look forward to leading the expansion of the facilities and processes required to meet the growing demand of high quality drug delivery devices in the healthcare market.”

With a multi-year history of over $100M in new business awards, supported by a sales pipeline exceeding $1B in opportunity, Phillips-Medisize continues to invest in people and facilities to support biopharma, diagnostics, and medical device customer-driven growth. Over the last twelve months alone, the company has added nearly 100 years of healthcare design, development, and contract manufacturing experience to its ranks.
