A new opening keynote panel discussion titled "Transforming Business to Exceed Consumer Expectations" has been added to the agenda for GS1 Connect® 2016, the annual conference and exhibit taking place June 1-3, 2016 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.
GS1 US® President and CEO, Bob Carpenter, will moderate a cross-industry panel of GS1 US Board of Governor executives, including:
•Linda Dillman, chief information officer of QVC,
•John Inwright, president of Wendy's Quality Supply Chain Co-op (QSCC)
•Katherine Ross, vice president, customer and logistics services, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain and president of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc.
During the discussion, these thought leaders will share best practices for adapting supply chains and e-commerce operations to meet the demands of today's consumers and patients. Drawing from their experiences, the panelists will also discuss how the GS1 System of Standards has provided a foundation for their organizations to fully embrace change and transform their industries.
"Today's consumers are expecting unprecedented access to robust information that heavily influences their purchases or, in the case of healthcare, their medical decisions," said Carpenter. "Organizations across every industry are responding to this growing trend with innovative business models that provide product data transparency for the consumer. Our panel discussion will help attendees "Unlock the Power of Standards" by revealing the many ways standards implementation can help solve challenges during this exciting time of market transformation."
