Antares Vision, the world's leading provider of serialization-based track and trace solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, will showcase a variety of premium equipment comprising a full serialization and aggregation line at INTERPHEX NYC, Booth #2970, April 26-28 at the Jacob K. Javits Center. Set up to display both automatic and manual applications, the line will include a Print & Check Advanced machine and a Top View Aggregation Station working together to simulate a complete warehouse environment, providing visitors the opportunity to see its effectiveness in compliance with DSCSA regulatory requirements.
By showcasing the Print & Check Advanced machine and Top View Station working in concert, Antares Vision will demonstrate a comprehensive track and trace solution spanning Levels 1 through 4. This comprises a complete data flow, starting with initial serial data acquisition from an external source and continuing straight through to work order execution and transmission of data reporting.
Antares Vision is a leading provider of both software and hardware for serialization applications. Worldwide, the company has more installed serialization systems than all major competitors combined. By 2016, Antares Vision had installed solutions on 600 production lines in 120 plants around the world. More than five billion stock keeping units (SKUs) have been serialized, aggregated, shipped, and notified utilizing Antares Vision solutions.
In terms of software, Antares Vision's DSCSA-compliant Core Model Architecture allows seamless integration with any ERP, WMS, EPCIS, and Enterprise data repositories, while guaranteeing data security and consistency. For hardware, the company offers the industry's widest range of plug and play modular machines for serialization and aggregation. A notable example is the Antares Vision Print & Check All-in-One, the first machine to integrate serialization, labeling, check-weighing, and tamper-evident application, as well as the first and only to combine thermal inkjet and laser printing capabilities in one unit.
At INTERPHEX, the serialization line Antares Vision will display is highlighted by the Print & Check Advanced. Compliant with current and upcoming regulations regarding track-and-traceability, the machine prints fixed and variable data on cartons (through inkjet or laser technique) and, almost simultaneously, checks the correctness and integrity of this printed data at an impressive throughput of up to 400 cartons per minute. The Print & Check Advanced can handle up to three surfaces (for example, two sides and a top), and can easily integrate into a labeling module.
The machine's flighted belt system keeps cartons ideally positioned during printing and subsequent checking, and a shaft encoder is keyed directly on the drive to ensure deformity-free printing. A real-time device manages all data, from serialization to the construction of parent/child relations at different packaging levels, assuring data consistency and security.
Another component of Antares Vision's INTERPHEX line is the Top View Aggregation Station, which features a high resolution camera (covered area: 600x400 mm) capable of covering all typical case dimensions performing a reading from the top of the Datamatrix codes of cartons when fit into a case. The system can read up to 150 codes, acquiring several images of the case layer in the process.
To reduce deployment times for its North American customers, Antares Vision has an ample supply of modules ready to be customized and shipped at its Mt. Laurel, NJ facility.
