The intent of the comprehensive and forward-looking survey is to assess current and future trends across four key areas: logistics, supply challenges, technology and innovation. The survey will be open until October 31, 2016 at www.thermosafe.com/ctssurvey.
"The average cost of developing a drug is about $2.6 billion, and one major component of that spend is within the clinical supply chain," said Vishal Khushalani, director of global marketing and business development, Sonoco ThermoSafe. "Investments in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries are only increasing, and we hope insights gathered from this global survey help companies baseline their current strategies in logistics, supply chain and technology to guide future investments."
Russell Grissett, vice president of Sonoco ThermoSafe, added, "I want to thank our partners, Arena International Events Group and Berlinger & Co. AG, for co-sponsoring the survey, and above all, I extend my thanks to our advisory panel of industry experts from clinical operations, clinical trial supply logistics and packaging, as well as bio-pharma manufacturing and supply chain organizations that helped develop the global survey."
Sonoco ThermoSafe encourages everyone across the clinical supply chain to take the survey. Results will be analyzed and publicly presented during the first quarter of 2017.
