Kollmorgen announces that National Instruments (NI) is now a global reseller of Kollmorgen motion control products.  As a result, domestic and global OEMs and end-users will benefit from unrivaled support, plus complete machine control solutions that include best-in-class motion, data acquisition and control solutions that can be programmed graphically using NI’s renowned LabVIEW system design software, directly from and completely supported by National Instruments.

Kollmorgen and National Instruments have a history of collaboration. “Kollmorgen is well-known to OEM machine builders for its high-quality, high-performance motion control products” said Jamie Smith, Director for National Instruments. “Kollmorgen’s capabilities and global footprint complement our graphical system design approach perfectly. We’re proud to represent Kollmorgen and provide outstanding integrated software and hardware motion control systems in this growing marketplace.” NI was involved in the launch of Kollmorgen’s AKD® servo drive with a seamless interface to NI’s LabVIEW software, designed to simplify drive installation and maximize performance. This continued partnership builds on that collaboration and makes Kollmorgen’s complete family of motion control products available through NI including motors, drives, linear positioners, gearheads, machine controls, cables and accessories.
