Datacolor®, a global leader in color management solutions, today announces that its Datacolor Technology Suzhou laboratory has been accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board/ACLASS to provide calibration for the International Organization for Standardization / International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025:2005. With this accreditation, the Datacolor Technology Suzhou laboratory is now authorized to provide calibration certifications to customers.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is one of the most rigorous international calibration standards in the industry and has recognized Datacolor’s commitment to quality and accuracy. With this accreditation, Datacolor has demonstrated technical competence for calibration processes proving its ability to offer a higher level of confidence and reducing the need for supplier audits. Attaining the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation further ensures Datacolor’s credibility, offering customers greater confidence when selecting a laboratory based on its management practices and ability to perform specific tests and calibrations to the highest industry standard.

“The ISO/IEC 17025 certification illustrates Datacolor’s commitment to quality for calibration methods,” said Albert Busch, president and CEO of Datacolor. “In particular, this certification allows us to further provide our customers with the confidence they have always recognized in our calibration offerings and the highest quality tools and solutions they need.”

Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 standard is obtained through an independent assessment of a laboratory’s compliance in carrying out specific tests or calibrations specific to a defined Scope of Accreditation. Accreditation decisions are based on measurements and recommendations that are accurate, repeatable, verifiable, cost effective, timely, and believable.
