The additional 5,000 square feet will give Westpak, Inc. capacity for more environmental test chambers, hydraulic vibration tables, loose load vibration tables and compression machines. "By having this extensive additional testing equipment capacity, we are able to offer our clients the best possible lead time for large quantities of package validation," states Aaron Suarez, Production Manager.
"This additional capacity is significant as industry standards are getting more specific and regulatory agencies are expecting to see larger sample sizes for distribution testing," according to Suarez. In addition, Westpak test engineers have an extensive background in reviewing and developing medical device package validation protocols and test plans, as well as the required accelerated and real time aging required of medical packaging.
