Honeywell announced the appointment of ten system integrators in Germany to sell and support its Experion® LS process control system for small to medium-sized manufacturers. The integrators will help Honeywell expand its presence into industries that require a combination of loop, logic and batch automation, such as specialty chemicals, secondary pharmaceuticals and food and beverage.
The system integrators were selected for their engineering expertise and capabilities, geographic coverage and synergy with Honeywell's business development program. They include:
· Actemium Controlmatic, Frankfurt
· Ako-Tec, Euskirchen
· cts, Burgkirchen
· EMP, Leverkusen
· Indurest (SPC), Wesseling
· Kiel Engineering, Oberhausen
· LeiKon, Herzogenrath
· Rösberg Engineering, Karlsruhe
· SpiraTec, Speyer
· Stadler+Schaaf, Offenbach
Experion LS is a small, flexible process control system and part of Honeywell's award-winning Experion® Process Knowledge System line. It is designed to manage process control and optimize batch and sequence-oriented applications.
Scalable from a single PC and controller to multiple stations, Experion LS is uniquely suited for smaller production facilities because it allows manufacturers to better respond to market needs and changes while offering robust process and batch control features. Using Experion LS, plant operators can more quickly and easily modify batch recipes and boost production. Because it requires less engineering effort to configure and is easier to maintain than a PLC or large DCS, Experion LS can help manufacturers save up to •‚¬15,000 per year in support per system.
“The selection of these system integrators is an important step in our strategy to sell process control systems to small and medium-sized companies in batch industries,” said Elgonda la Grange, regional general manager, Northern Europe, Honeywell Process Solutions. “These system integrators are deeply qualified to support us as we pursue joint business opportunities. It's a win-win situation: they will benefit from Honeywell's expertise and the addition of Experion LS to their portfolio while we will gain access to new industries and expand our installed base.”
Honeywell appointed system integrators will benefit from a comprehensive training program as well as access to information including product and application know-how, and industry-leading expertise in process control. The appointment of the system integrators is an important step in achieving Honeywell's objective to grow its global channel.
